The digital EPIC is designed to perform precise and accurate refractions in half the time and one-third the space of traditional examinations.
This data gathering and storing capability allows immediate comparison between a patient's unaided vision, an old prescription and the patient's
new prescription, with a simple touch of a button. To fully appreciate the efficiency of the EPIC, consider that a traditional
fifteen-minute refraction using a manual refractor in a twenty-foot lane can be reduced to just five or six minutes
in a six-by-five-foot room.
